Aloha! I received my Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialty in Substance Abuse Counseling from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ.   I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Hawaii, as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey.

 

I specialize in the treatment of mental health and substance abuse issues, trauma informed treatment with the use of eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness based treatment protocols.  My passion for western psychology, eastern philosophy and spirituality, and indigenous shamanic healing and wisdom has led me to create a client-centered, multi-modal approach to treatment.  I believes that each individual is unique and, therefore, requires a unique treatment approach.  Whether you struggle with social anxiety, depression, a lack of meaning and purpose in life, or substance abuse, I can offer you a solution that can move your life in a direction of peace, purpose, and joy.

I have been in long term recovery for many years and my combined training in psychotherapy and personal experience place me in a unique position to be of service.
